AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) would also like to briefly summarize our activities in our style since the beginning of 2014 which marked the commencement of my term as the AITAA President.

Meeting with Mr. Kiran Dongol, President AITAA Nepal Chapter

Mr. Kiran Dongol, President of AITAA Nepal Chapter, and HQ President Mr. Thanin Bumrungsap had a meeting on 30 November at Himalaya Residence in Soi Sukhumvit 31 where Mr. Dongol stayed. Mr. Dongol could not make it to the AITAA GBM in Manila. However, on his way back, he stopped over in Bangkok and Mr. Thanin met him for a brief updating about the outcome of the 43rd GBM. Karma Rana also joined as he was waiting to bring him (Mr. Dongol) to the AIT campus after the said meeting.

Survey of Your Opinion about AIT Alumni Expats Get-together

Dear Expatriate Alumni of AIT Residing in Thailand,

In the recent past, AIT Alumni Association (AITAA) used to organize annual get-together of expatriate alumni residing in Thailand which was a purely social event including the alumni’s family members. The event has been discontinued for a few years.

New Assignment of Minister of Executive Yuan and Vice Mayor of New Taipei City Government

We are very pleased to share two great news from Taiwan as follows:

Mr. Jack Chun-Yat Hsu, AIT class of 1983 - Division of Geotechnical & Transportation Engineering, has been promoted to be the Minister of Public Construction Commission Executive Yuan, effective 2nd of July 2014. Prior to this, Mr. Hsu had been the Administrative Deputy Minister for 1 year in Ministry of Transportation and Communications and the Director of AITAA ROC Chapter.

Firstly, I would like to apologize that this communiqué to you comes a little late.

As my term as the president of AITAA has become effective since 1st January this year, I would like to share to you notable events that have occurred since that date.

1) Sad Demises; It is sad that two of my acquaintances passed away recently.
